You can find the module in Administration > Settings > Payments > Bank API.
First, you need to create a bank account in the payments settings.
Bank Accounts and Cashboxes
Add your bank accounts or a cashbox for cash to the club's payment profile, which you can later use to generate payments for members.
If your bank offers API integration, a card displaying your bank and the option to pair with your banking will appear on the page.
Here you will find an overview of supported banks, along with detailed instructions on how to set up the connection in EOS for your bank.
Once everything is connected, the EOS platform downloads the transaction statement from the account every 4 hours. This means that payments created in EOS are automatically paired with incoming transactions several times a day, if they are paid under the correct variable symbol. If they are not, the transactions are downloaded to EOS anyway, you just need to pair them manually.
Transactions
Transactions in EOS are a standalone module that allows you to load transaction statements from your account into the platform – either automatically via bank API or through manual import. Individual transactions can also be created manually. Transactions are matched with payments created in EOS.
I’ve successfully connected to EOS, but the platform still reports that transactions are not downloading.
It’s likely that during the connection process, you didn’t check the option to grant permissions for your specific account. If you have multiple accounts, you can select them to allow transaction statements to be downloaded into EOS from all of them. If you accidentally select none, the connection is created, but without permissions for any account.
I’ve created a connection to EOS, but it has expired.
Sometimes the API connection gets interrupted, and transactions automatically stop downloading. You can also recognize this from the notification on the Administration > Overview screen. Most often, this happens because the connection expires (certificate/token issued by the bank is valid only for a specific period for security reasons). To resolve this, just click on the three-dots icon on the connection card and then on Prolong Authentication. If that doesn’t work, completely remove the connection and create it again following the steps for your specific bank.
We have multiple accounts at the same bank. Can we link them all?
Yes. If you have multiple accounts with your bank under your entity and you want to connect them to EOS, all you need to do is create one API connection with your bank and assign the accounts to it. However, you must be careful to select that you want to enable the linking of all the accounts during the API link authentication in banking.
Does the EOS platform gain access to outgoing transactions and other data after connecting to banking?
No, the platform only downloads a clean statement of incoming transactions to the account for matching with payments when linking. It has no access to outgoing transactions or other account data. It also cannot enter any orders or make any changes to the account.
To manage Banking APIs, write permission is required in the Settings and Payments modules.
