To access the module, go to Management > Teams and walls.
Once you assign members to individual teams, you can communicate with them in bulk and work with them further – create events for them, share documents with them, etc. That is because a separate communication wall is created for each team in the Member zone.
Which teams you create is entirely up to you. The options are unlimited, for example:
Older pupils, Juniors, ... – by age group
the Leadership or Coaches team, to which you add management members or coaches, creating a working group for them – a communication wall where they can handle their agenda together.
Marketplace, which all members will have access to. If you allow it in the team settings, they will also be able to add posts with photos (a gallery) to the wall. You will find the detailed configuration of what members can add to a given wall in the team settings.
Team/wall settings and editing
After creating a team you finish setting it up or edit it at any time. The settings include the behaviour of the team wall for the Member zone, the configuration of wall posts and options for displaying the team on the website.
In the text of the posts on the Marketplace wall, members then state all the details about the item, the price, contact information, etc. A discussion among those interested is created under each thread.
You can also set up the team composition entirely as you wish, and one member can be a member of several teams.
Creating the roster / team composition
Create the composition of individual teams – assign both regular members and the coaching staff or team administrators to teams. Team administrators then have extended permissions on the team wall in the members’ section
Teams can also be grouped into higher-level organizational units.
Organizational units
Divide your organization into individual units, for example if you bring together several sports or have other branch associations or branches.
Click the “+” button.
Enter the name of the new team in the dialog box.
Select who will have access to the team:
roster – the option to grant specific people access to the team. This is how the team composition is created – ordinary members and staff. (E.g. the Juniors team)
organizational unit – access for all members who are part of teams belonging to a particular organizational unit. (E.g. a shared Youth team whose communication wall is accessible to all members of the Beginners, Younger pupils and Older pupils teams that belong to the Youth organizational unit).
everyone – absolutely all active members will have access
Ticking the Show in the Member zone option makes the team/wall visible. If you want to create a team for internal purposes only and not show it to members, leave the option unticked.
Season – select the season the team belongs to, or select Non-seasonal if you want it to be independent of seasons.
Click the OK button to create the new team.
Sorting teams: To change the order of teams in the list, use the “drag-and-drop” function. Grab the left edge of the team row and move it to the desired place in the table. The order is reflected both in the list of teams in the Member zone and, for example, in the order of teams in the registration form, if you have the team selection option for newly registering members enabled.
Editing and deleting: Teams can be removed at any time, they cannot be deleted. By clicking the team name you get to its detail and then to editing its configuration. You can also click straight through to the roster / team composition.
On the More > Removed teams screen you can restore teams to their original state at any time. Teams are never deleted completely.
Filtering teams: At the top, under the Teams and walls heading, you can filter teams – by season or organizational unit.
Management permission: Managing Teams and walls requires permission for the Teams module.
Change history: Users with access to the Logs module can view the history of all changes made to any record.
