# Team/wall settings and editing

After creating a team you finish setting it up or edit it at any time. The settings include the behaviour of the team wall for the Member zone, the configuration of wall posts and options for displaying the team on the website.

## **Module location**

- You can get to team editing via **Management > Teams and walls >** open the team you created \> **Edit**.

- Or via **Teams and walls >** for the selected team click on the right **three dots** or right-click the row **> Edit.**

## **General settings**

- Here you can edit the previously created team **name**, team **description**, you can change and edit the **URL** to the website, change the **organizational unit**, turn the option of **jersey numbers** off/on.

- You can also edit whether you want the team to be **shown in the registration form** (if selected, the member then has to choose which team they are registering for).

> **Info:** If you tick the option to show the team in the registration form, newly registering members will be able to choose to register for this specific team, into which they will be automatically assigned right after registration. If you also have the option to show in the registration form set for organizational units, they will be able to choose both the unit and the team.

[

Online member registration

Through the online registration form, new members can register for your platform.

Organizational units

Divide your organization into individual units, for example if you bring together several sports or have other branch associations or branches.

## **Roster restrictions**

- Here you can edit the roster restrictions, who will belong to the given team, for example: by the oldest year of birth, the youngest year of birth, gender.

    - By the oldest year of birth: If you select the oldest year, e.g. 1989, only members born in that year and all younger ones (1990, 1991 etc.) will be included.

    - By the youngest year of birth: If you select the youngest year, e.g. 2008, only members born in that year and all older ones (2007, 2006 etc.) will be included.

    - By gender: you can select whether male or female.

## **Settings for the member zone**

- Tick whether the team will be **shown in the member zone**, or not.

- You can search for and change the icon (of the team) shown in the member zone and set its colour.

- You also have the option to edit **The display of upcoming events on the wall**:

    - Off – upcoming events will not be shown at all

    - The next 3 events – the 3 nearest events will be shown

    - The nearest day with events – the whole nearest day with events will be shown

- Other team setting options:

    - **Add to pinned teams** – use this for important teams that should be shown to members at the very top of the team list in the member zone – with a pin symbol.

    - **The team member list is visible to other members** – the team composition can be visible only to managers, or to all regular members of the team as well.

    > **Info:** In addition, each member can set in their profile whether they want to show their phone number and e-mail to other members. The organization can also set in **Management > Settings > Platform configuration** the **Enhanced privacy feature**, which hides members’ contact details from other regular members across the board.

    - **The team is not available to member representatives** – the team will not be visible to a member’s representative at all. Only the member themselves will see it.

    > **Info:** In the sports version of the EOS platform this is useful, for example, for a junior team, or rather their communication wall, which serves as their discussion forum with teammates and the coach, but where the information does not need to be seen by their parents.

    - **Show a warning about unclosed attendance on the wall** – in the member zone, managers will be shown a warning on the team wall about all events with unclosed attendance.

    - **Show club-wide documents on the wall** – documents created **For the whole organization** will also be shown on the wall of the team you are setting this for.

    - **Show club-wide events on the wall** – events intended **For the whole organization** will also be shown on the wall of the team you are setting this for.

## Configuration

### **Posts and regular members**

- By ticking the **Allow regular members to create posts on the wall** checkbox you can allow regular members to create posts, which is normally available only to managers. The default setting for post behaviour is based on the organization’s platform configuration.

[

Platform configuration

The platform can be set up using many parameters so that it perfectly suits your specific needs. Check the detailed configuration of your platform here.

- After ticking the checkbox you can set exactly what you give regular members permission for: poll, images, files, documents, notification after creation, comments, pinning a post.

- For all the options mentioned above you can choose from the following settings:

    - **According to the organization’s configuration**– the member will have access to the given action exactly according to how it is set in the basic configuration.

    - **Allowed** – the member will have access to the given action, e.g. adding images to posts.

    - **Forbidden** – the member will have access to the given action, e.g. the option to create a poll for a post.

- Then you have to click **Save** for the change.

### Members’ birthdays on the wall

- The option to show members’ upcoming birthdays on team walls.

- The default setting is again based on the individual configuration of the organization’s platform.

- When the feature is enabled, you can set:

    - whether manager members should also be included in the birthdays, or only regular members

    - how many days in advance upcoming birthdays should be shown

### **Website**

- **Show on the website** – select whether you want the team to be shown on your website at all

- **Synchronize the team name on the website** – the option to set the team to have a different name on the website than in the platform

- **Synchronize the short team name** – the option to fill in a short team name for display on the website

- **Synchronize the external profile URL** – the option to fill in and show on the website the URL of the team profile, for example from the association website

- **Show the team on the homepage**

You can also set whether and how the following will be shown on the website:

- Roster / Member list section

- Roster – display style

- Roster – distinguish member positions

- Matches section

- Matches – display of results

- Filter for home/away matches

- Competition table section

- Member statistics section

Another option:

- **Synchronize groups to the website as separate teams** – groups into which teams are further divided can be shown on the website as separate teams.

> **Info:** The settings apply to websites created by EOS and connected to your platform. Websites from other suppliers cannot currently be connected to the platform.

## **Permissions and access**

**Management permission:** Managing Teams and walls requires permission for the **Teams** module.
