We have added a notification test tool to the application. You will find it on your profile screen. With it you can verify that your phone is set up correctly, or send us a problem report right away.
The methods below are valid for Android 11. Depending on the Android version and the device manufacturer they may vary. If you cannot find the corresponding setting, use the search in Settings.
If you have carried out all the troubleshooting steps on your device but the notification problems still persist (or if no such steps exist for your device), proceed as follows:
Restart the device.
Check the connection. Are you really connected to the internet?
Check the application notifications. Go to Settings > Apps > EOS > Notifications > turn on Show notifications.
Allow background data usage. Settings > Apps > EOS > Allow background data usage. Repeat the same for the Google Play Services app.
Turn off Power saving mode, or add EOS to the list of exceptions from battery usage optimization. Go to Settings > Apps > EOS > Battery > Optimize battery usage, find the EOS app and turn off optimization.
Update Google Play Services if you do not have the latest version of this app.
Also bear in mind:
Force stopping the EOS app. If you stop EOS via Settings > Apps > EOS > Force stop, you will not receive push notifications until you open the application again.
Third-party applications (antivirus software, battery savers and so on) can affect how EOS works. For testing purposes you can turn these applications off temporarily, or add EOS to the list of exceptions.
On Android version 6 and higher, delays of several minutes can occur if you do not use your device for a certain time. This is due to Android’s sleep mode, which significantly reduces energy consumption during inactivity.
If the problem persists, please contact the manufacturer of your device.
