Why the terms differ
The EOS platform is used by sports clubs as well as community and interest organizations. Depending on the variant your organization has set up, the interface shows different terminology. The features are the same in both variants, only the naming differs.
Articles in this help centre are written in the sports variant. If you use the community version, convert the terms according to the table below.
Overview of the differences
Sports version | Community version | What it is |
Team | Group | The basic unit you assign members to. It has its own roster / group composition, wall, attendance and events. |
Staff | Staff | A member with extended rights to the unit – manages the roster / group composition, attendance and events. The term is the same in both variants. |
Roster | Group composition | The list of members assigned to the unit, including their roles. |
Season | Period | The time span that membership, payments and events are tied to. |
