We bring you an overview of the important news of the last two years in a webinar recording - these are not detailed guides, but rather inspiration on which features and modules can save you time.
If you did not find the answer to your question in the video, take a look at the webinar participants’ questions and our answers to them.
Are notifications about paying an instalment sent automatically?
The notification is sent when the payment is paid in full — that is, for instalments only when the whole amount is paid, not after each instalment separately. After paying, the member therefore has to actively look at their unpaid payments, where they will see how many instalments they have paid and have the option to download a confirmation.
What happens if a member does not pay the second instalment?
The unpaid instalment stays in the “active/unpaid” state and the member will receive reminders when it is due. The administrator then has to handle the situation manually — they can mark the payment as irrecoverable, change the due date, give a discount in the amount of the second instalment with a note explaining why, or edit the payment and change it from instalments to a one-off payment in the amount already paid.
What is the difference between e-applications and signups in EOS?
They are two different modules with a different purpose:
E-applications | Signups | |
Who can sign up | Existing members only | Anyone — members and the public |
Typical use | Special training, match, training camp, club event | Camp, course, tournament for the public |
Linked to a payment | Yes | Yes |
Multi-step process | No | Yes (configurable steps) |
In more detail:
E-applications
An e-application is one of the four types of events that can be created in the EOS platform. They can be linked with an automatic payment for the participants and their most frequent use is for training camps, camps or, for example, seminars.
Creating a signup and overview
With the sign-ups, anyone can sign up for your event, whether they are a member of your organisation (platform) or a member of the public. Create signups with a few steps and completely custom forms.
Can signups also be used for signing up new members?
Yes, Signups can be used for signing up new members to the club. This is useful, for example, when you have a given team (course, club) with limited capacity. In Signups (unlike the registration form, which is used more often for signing up new members) you can set the capacity freely, including substitutes, and EOS keeps track of it. After an applicant signs up in the signup, you conveniently turn them into a member. However, you need to bear in mind that the signup is charged for each applicant (non-member) signed up this way.
Price per signup – credit system
The Signup module is available to all organizations as part of the standard license. Member registration is also free. Registration for external participants (the public) is charged in credits.
Can a different price be set for members and for external customers for a specific product in the Store module?
Yes, for individual Products the system allows you to set a Base price and a Special price – the latter can be more advantageous and for members only.
Catalogue (product categories and products)
In the Catalogue you will find the option to manage Product categories and individual products. Product categories and products serve for managing the complete offer of goods in your store. They allow you to create and manage products, sort them into categories and subcategories and set prices, availability, variants and other properties. Product categories serve as the catalogue structure, while the products themselves contain all the commercial data.
Can the Store module be used as a marketplace (e.g. selling jerseys between members)?
The EOS Store is set up as a store of the organization towards customers — products are entered by the administrator, not by the members themselves. For this purpose you can create a team/wall Marketplace with access for everyone, allow regular members to add posts and photos in it. And then the members handle it among themselves and you have oversight of it.
Creating a team/wall and their overview
Use teams to divide your members into individual groups – the way they actually work together. A team communication wall is also created in the Member zone together with every team.
