# Delivery methods

You determine the delivery methods entirely according to your options. Thanks to these settings you give customers a choice of how you will get the ordered goods to them. For each method you also set who it is intended for and what its price is.

Delivery methods are key information for customers and also for clear and fast order management. We recommend adapting them to your real options. You can offer any method, from personal collection to sending via various carriers (Zásilkovna, Czech Post, GLS, DPD and so on). Bear in mind that the actual dispatch is up to you and the platform is not connected to any such service.

You can filter orders by delivery method. You link the delivery method to the Payment method, so you can determine that when a certain Payment method is selected, only certain Delivery methods are possible.

## **Module location**

**Management > Settings > Delivery methods**

## **Creating and editing a delivery method**

You create a new delivery method by clicking the **Add new record** or**+** button in the top right.

When creating or editing a delivery method you set:

- **Name**

The internal name used in Management.

- **Public name**

    The name shown to customers.

- **Availability**

You determine whether the given delivery method is offered only to members, only to the public, or to both members and the public.

- **Description**

Text visible to customers in the order detail.

- **Instructions**

Detailed instructions for the customer, shown in the order detail and which can be part of the e-mail notification.

- **Free delivery**

Tick this field if you do not want to charge any fee for the given delivery method.

- **Require address**

Tick this if you will require an address from the customer. This must be ticked for any delivery method other than personal collection, so that you know where to send the order.

If you tick Free delivery, the delivery method will be Active immediately. If the delivery method is charged for, it is created as inactive. It changes to active after the delivery prices are set.

## **Setting the delivery price**

After creating the given delivery method, the form for entering the delivery price opens automatically. If you want to set it later, just click the given method in the delivery method overview. Then on the **Price** tab in the top right click **+**.

- Currency

- members: the price intended for members

- public: the price intended for customers from the public

If the prices do not differ, the same amount must be entered for both. After confirming this form, the method still needs to be activated in the Delivery method overview so that it starts being shown to customers.

## **Managing displayed columns**

In the Delivery method overview you can customize the displayed columns, for example:

- name,

- public name,

- description,

- price,

- availability,

- note,

- active,

- date created,

- free delivery,

- instructions,

- last change,

- require address

## The delivery method overview further allows:

- searching by name,

- working with actions for individual delivery methods:

    - **Edit** – opens the form for editing the data,

    - **Change history** – shows an overview of the changes made

        - when the delivery method was created,

        - who made the changes and when,

        - what changes were made.

    - **Archive** – hides the delivery method from the active list,

    - **Delete** – permanently removes the delivery method.

## **Permissions and access**

Managing delivery methods requires permission for the modules:

- **Store**

- **Settings** (depending on the user’s role in the organization)

Only users with the corresponding permissions can create, edit or delete delivery methods.
