Order statuses are a key tool for clear store management and professional communication with customers. We recommend adapting them to your real order handling process.
Management > Settings > Order statuses
Order statuses allow you to:
track the progress of an order from creation to completion or cancellation,
show customers the current status of the order,
set the texts and instructions the customer will see in the order detail,
control the sending of e-mail notifications when the status changes,
distinguish individual statuses by colour for a better overview,
filter orders
The EOS platform has basic default statuses preset:
New
To be sent
In preparation
Completed
Cancelled
You can use these statuses without any further configuration, or edit the name, notification/e-mail sending or colours according to your needs. They cannot be deleted. You can create any number of additional statuses.
You create a new status by clicking the Add new record or+ button in the top right.
When creating or editing a status you set:
Name
The internal status name used in Management.
Public name
The name shown to customers.
Status meaning
Determines the behaviour logic of the status (e.g. open, completed, cancelled).
Description
Text visible to customers in the order detail.
Notification
Setting whether changing the status to this one sends a notification/e-mail to the customer
Instructions
Detailed instructions for the customer, shown in the order detail and which can be part of the e-mail notification.
Colour
The colour of the status label for clear distinction in the order list.
In the order status overview you can customize the displayed columns, for example:
name,
public name,
meaning,
e-mail,
note,
description,
instructions,
date of creation or last change.
Archiving
The status stops being actively used but remains stored in the system (e.g. for historical data).
Deleting
Used to remove the status entirely. Recommended only for statuses that are not used in any order.
Managing product attributes requires permission for the modules:
Store
Settings (depending on the user’s role in the organization)
Only users with the corresponding permissions can create, edit or delete statuses.
