Management > Settings > Store > Customizations
Here you manage all available customizations, which can then be assigned to specific products.
Customization is used if:
you sell personalized products (e.g. jerseys, clothing, equipment),
you want to require the customer to provide specific information,
you need to transfer data from the member profile directly into the order,
you want clearly structured and well-arranged variants of product modifications.
Customization can be:
included in the product price,
charged for (set directly for the product).
The main screen shows a list of all created customizations.
For each customization you see:
the customization name,
the public name (shown in the store),
the description,
the data source (if you want to take information from the member’s pre-filled information - e.g. full name)
products (how many products have the given customization)
The customization list allows:
searching by name,
working with actions for individual customizations:
Edit – opens the form for editing the data,
Change history – shows an overview of the changes made
when the customization was created,
who made the changes and when,
what changes were made.
Archive – hides the customization from the active list,
Delete – permanently removes the customization.
You create a new customization by clicking the Add new record or+ button in the top right.
When creating or editing a customization you set:
Name
Mandatory, the internal label (e.g. “Jersey number”).
Public name
Shown to the customer.
Description
Supplementary information on the product detail (optional).
A strong feature of customization is the automatic pre-filling of values from the member’s profile.
Choose the Entity (e.g. Member).
Select the Value (e.g. surname, jersey number and so on).
Optionally set a data transformation (if available).
Thanks to this:
the customer does not have to enter the data again,
the risk of typos is minimized,
the order is faster and more convenient.
The customization itself is not sold – it is always:
assigned to a specific product,
shown to the customer when ordering,
saved as part of the order for further processing.
One customization can be used for several products.
Managing product customizations requires permission for the modules:
Store
Settings (depending on the user’s role in the organization)
Only users with the corresponding permissions can create, edit or delete customizations.
Regular members only fill in customizations when ordering products where you offer it; they have no access to their management or configuration.
Keep customization names unambiguous and understandable.
Where possible, use pre-filling from member data.
Do not use customizations where an ordinary product attribute is enough.
Archive old customizations instead of deleting them – because of order history.
