Management > Settings > Store > Product attributes
The main screen shows a list of all created attributes. For each attribute you see:
the attribute name,
the public name (shown in the store),
the attribute type,
the number of products that use the attribute.
The attribute list allows:
searching by name,
working with actions for an individual attribute:
Edit – opens the form for editing the data,
Change history – shows an overview of the changes made
when the attribute was created,
who made the changes and when,
what changes were made.
Archive – hides the attribute from the active list,
Delete – permanently removes the attribute.
You create a new attribute by clicking the Add new record or+ button in the top right.
When creating or editing an attribute you set:
Name – the internal attribute name used in Management (e.g. “T-shirt size”, “T-shirt colour”).
Public name – the attribute name shown to users in the store (e.g. “Size”, “Colour”).
Attribute type – determines how the attribute values are handled:
Selection from values – the attribute has a predefined list of values (e.g. S, M, L, XL),
Colour – the attribute values represent colours.
After creating the attribute you click its name and the value settings are available.
Each attribute can contain any number of values.
Attribute values are used to create specific product variants.
For example, the attribute “Size” can contain the values S, M, L, XL. For the “Colour” attribute type you can choose from a colour palette + enter the colour name (e.g. green, red).
Attributes are assigned directly to specific products.
Based on the selected attributes and their values, the system automatically creates product variants, which are then used for:
selecting the variant in the store,
setting the price,
managing stock,
the availability of individual variants.
The attribute itself does not contain a price or stock – this information is set only at the level of the specific product variant.
Managing product attributes requires permission for the modules:
Store
Settings (depending on the user’s role in the organization)
Only users with the corresponding permissions can create, edit or delete attributes.
