Management > Store > Product categories
Categories serve for clearly dividing products in the store. They help customers (both members and the public) quickly find the right products and help administrators keep the offer tidy. It can be, for example, the division: Fanshop, Sports equipment, Jerseys and so on.
Categories:
do not contain prices or stock data,
serve only as an organizational structure,
determine to whom the products will be shown (members / public / members and public).
You create a product category by clicking the Add new record button or the + in the top right.
When creating or editing product categories you set:
Name
The internal name used in Management (e.g. Team clothing, Fan equipment).
Public name
The name shown to customers in the store (if it differs from the internal one).
Description
Optional text shown with the category detail.
Availability
You determine whether the given product category is offered only to members, only to the public, or to both members and the public.
Image
The image shown in category overviews. It should be square.
Cover
The image shown in the category detail. The recommended resolution is 1200 × 300 px.
Active
Determines whether the product category is currently available in the store.
Each category can contain any number of subcategories. Subcategories serve for further dividing the offer (e.g. Jerseys > Home / Away). You create a product subcategory by clicking the Add new record button or the + in the top right.
When creating or editing product subcategories you set:
Name
The internal name used in Management.
Public name
The name shown to customers in the store (if it differs from the internal one).
Description
Optional text shown with the subcategory detail.
Availability
You determine whether the given product subcategory is offered only to members, only to the public, or to both members and the public.
Image
The image shown in subcategory overviews. It should be square.
Cover
The image shown in the subcategory detail. The recommended resolution is 1200 × 300 px.
Active
Determines whether the product subcategory is currently available in the store.
If a category has no subcategories, the products are shown directly in it.
In the Products tab in a Product category you see the list of all products assigned to the given category.
Here it is possible to:
assign existing products to the category by selecting from the list of available items,
remove products from the category,
follow a basic overview of the products in the given category,
search for products by name.
On the main screen you see the list of all product categories.
For each category the following is available:
the name and image,
availability information (members / public / members and public),
the number of subcategories,
the number of products in the category,
the active / inactive status.
In the list of product categories you can:

The overview also allows:
searching by name,
working with actions on individual product categories:
Edit – opens the form for editing the data,
Change history – shows an overview of the changes made
when the product category was created,
who made the changes and when,
what changes were made.
Archive – hides the product category from the active list,
Delete – permanently removes the product category.
A product represents a specific item that members or the public can order. All the commercial logic (prices, stock, variants, orders) is set precisely at the product level.
Management > Store > Products
You create a product by clicking the Add new record button or the + in the top right.
When creating or editing a product, first of all you set whether the Product type is standard (offered directly by you) or external (ordered from another supplier’s e-shop) – the parameters set afterwards then differ:
Standard product
Name
The name shown in Management.
Public name
The name shown to customers in the store (if it differs from the internal one).
Availability
You determine whether the given product is offered only to members, only to the public, or to both members and the public.
Category
Here you assign the product to a previously created Product category, or a subcategory. A product can also be placed in several categories.
Supplier
Here you select the right one from the previously created suppliers.
Base price
Here you enter the base price; various promotional prices and so on you set afterwards in the detail.
Parameters and settings
Attributes and variants - you tick this if the product has several variants (e.g. different colours, sizes and so on)
Stock - you tick this to track stock levels
Customization - you tick this if you want to allow some individual modifications for the given product (e.g. a name or number on a jersey and so on)
External product
Name
The name shown in Management.
Public name
The name shown to customers in the store (if it differs from the internal one).
Availability
You determine whether the given product is offered only to members, only to the public, or to both members and the public.
Category
Here you assign the product to a previously created Product category, or a subcategory. A product can also be placed in several categories.
Supplier
Here you select the right one from the previously created suppliers.
External URL
You enter the address leading to the supplier.
Base price
Here you enter the base price; various promotional prices and so on you set afterwards in the detail.
After entering these basic parameters you get to the product detail. The product is still not available in the store and further parameters need to be defined.
Stock
you can allow the option to order the product even when it is not in stock
set the minimum quantity of the product from which you want to track it more closely
Supplier
you can fill in the supplier’s code for the product
Availability
it is possible to set a range from when to when the product will be available in the store
if it is to be available all the time, leave it empty
Other settings
Code - the internal product code
Unit - by default pcs (= piece)
Min. quantity that can be purchased
Recommended product - when ticked, the Recommended tag is attached to it
Active - the product becomes visible in the Store
Price
the base price is already set, but you can change it
special prices
currency
availability: it can be set that the special price will be shown only to members, only to the public, or to both members and the public
variant - if the product has several variants, you can select which ones the special price concerns
price - the special amount in the set currency
several special prices can be set for one product
Images
the product image/photograph
type: image
max. allowed size: 10 MB
Related
you can link the given product with other similar or related products in the offer (e.g. a jersey can be related to shorts)
Variants
here you set things up if the product has several options (e.g. different colours, different sizes)
in the top right +
select all the attributes that the given product has and save
click again in the top right on +
for the selected attribute select the variants
you can enter the product variant code and the supplier code
CAUTION: Once you generate the variants, it is not possible to assign further attributes.
Movements
here you then find the product history - that is, orders from suppliers (goods receipts) and customer orders
On the main screen you see the list of all products.
For each product the following is available:
the name and image,
availability information (members / public / members and public),
category,
supplier,
in stock,
special prices,
variants
customization,
the active / inactive status.
In the list of products you can:

The visibility of both categories and products for members and the public is controlled by the availability settings of individual items.
