Go to Management > Events > Event imports.
Before you start setting up the import, you need to request the ČSH Partner API from the Czech Handball Association:
A form can be downloaded in H-net: Request for API access
The completed form needs to be sent to the association (the administrators of the H-net information system)
You will be sent back a username and password for your club
Click “+”
Select Source: Czech Handball Association
Write the Name of this access – it serves only for your own orientation
Tick Active, if you want events to start synchronizing into EOS after creation and configuration
Integration settings – fill in the details obtained from ČSH:
Username
Password
After confirming the login details, further fields become available for the import settings:
Competition – select the competition you want to import events from
Phase – select the competition phase if it is offered
Club – select your club
Events in EOS
Event type – select which event type in EOS the newly imported events should be created as
Event types
Create and set up custom event types suitable for your organization. These will be assigned to individual events, which will behave according to the parameters set in each type.
Organizational unit – if you have organizational units created and the events should be assigned only to a specific organizational unit, select it here. If you do not have organizational units, leave The whole organization
Season – select which season in EOS the events should be imported into, or leave it without a selection and you will then get a choice of non-season teams for the import
Teams – select the team(s) in EOS the events are intended for. If you do not select any, the events will be imported For the whole organization (you can also tick this option).
Match length – preset to 90 minutes, can be changed
Grouping events
do not group – events are imported into EOS as separate events
by date – events taking place on the same day are grouped into one event in EOS. This event then contains all the information about the individual sub-events. This is used, for example, when importing matches where there are several matches on one day, from which one large event is created representing, say, a whole tournament, which is then better organized as one unit.
Name of the import – enter it as you like, it serves only for your own orientation
Leave Active ticked, if you want events to start synchronizing into EOS after configuration
Match start = event start
Team name, competition round = written into the event name
Competition name and phase, match code, status and result = written into the event description
Match venue = written into the Place item in the event and into the description
After connecting, on the Event imports screen you see a list of the imports you have created.
Thanks to the Search row you can find any event by its name.
The Displayed columns button shows only selected columns, with the option to sort them freely. You can add these:
Name of the import you chose
Import service: Czech Handball Association
Status (according to the data EOS obtains from the association):
OK – the last import went well
In progress – the import is currently running
Failed – the last import was not successful
Not working – the import failed several times in a row (the last successful import was at least three days ago)
Waiting – the import is queued for processing but is not running yet
Did not finish – the import was terminated abnormally
Ended – the data has expired
Last update – the date and time of the last update
Next update – the date and time of the next update (if available from the association)
Active – yes/no
Valid until – the date and time until which the connection is valid
Date created
Date deleted
ID – the identification number of the import
Event type – the event type you selected in EOS for the imported events
Last change – the date of the last change
Last error – the date of the last error
By clicking the binoculars button you can work with views – save a filtered view for use next time or manage previously saved views.
Right-click the import or the context menu (three dots) and you get the options:
Edit the import
Import now – manual start of the current event import from the given source
Delete – irreversibly deletes the configured event import
You then work with imported events in the same way as with events created manually in the platform. You can edit them, copy them, add attachments to them and so on. If you had the events imported as an Event type WITHOUT attendance tracking, you can Convert to a nomination, Convert to an e-application or Convert to organizing. Your members will find them in their calendars and can sign up for them.
Converting and copying events
General events without attendance can be converted in EOS to any other kind of event. So you can turn a general event into a nomination, for example. Another useful option is copying events.
Management permission: Managing event imports requires permission for the Events module.
