Automated assignment of members to teams before a new season

Turning the option on

• When creating or editing a season, tick the Allow members to request team assignment.

  Create and manage seasons/periods

  Divide your operations into specific seasons or periods to facilitate easier event organization and communication. However, you can also operate on a non-seasonal basis without any time constraints.

• Set the season as active.

It is assumed that you have already created or copied the teams for the new season.

Requesting information from members

• In Management > Teams and walls when editing the teams you want members to sign up to for the new season, tick the Show in the registration form option.

• Go to the Management > Members module and tick the members whose interest in being assigned to specific teams you want to find out. Click the Bulk actions and Request data check.

• As part of the data check form, members will be asked which team they want to be assigned to.

Only members who are not yet assigned to any team in the given season will be asked. That is, if you assign them to a team manually in advance, the system will not ask them.

Approving members’ teams

• Data check requests will start arriving from members in the form of a request. In one step you obtain updated contact details for your members and, on top of that, information about which team they want to belong to for the next season.

• After the request is approved, the member will be automatically added to the roster of the selected team.
