# Tags

For better organization of the member database, you can create your own tags for labeling and filtering.

## **Module location**

You can access the module in **Management > Settings > Members > Tags**.

## **Using tags**

In **Management** \> **Members** you can assign or remove any tags for individual members, either on the member edit screen or via a bulk action in the list of all members. You can also filter by tags.

## **Creating a new tag**

-   In the top right corner of the screen, click the button with the “**+**” icon.
    
-   In the dialog that appears, enter the name of the new tag and then press the **OK** button to create the tag.
    

## **Managing tags**

**Editing and deleting:** Anyone with permission can edit or delete tags. Editing a tag takes effect for all members it is assigned to. A deleted tag disappears from all members it was assigned to.

## **Permissions and access**

Managing tags requires permission in the **Settings** and **Members** modules.
